Bible Study Web App

For the past 6.5 years, I have been part of the production team for a software application known as Concord. I served in various roles including marketing, software development, customer support, events and training workshops, online tutorials, and technical support.

I proofed and edited the content on the marketing website: concord.christianscience.com as well as maintaining consistent UI/UX features in the actual application (create a free account at login.concord.christianscience.com.

Each month, the software application was updated with new features. In conjunction with the release, an email would be sent to customers with details about the new features.

Every communication was intended to help customers learn and feel more comfortable utilizing the software. Email journeys were created to train and educate customers about new features in Concord. They also encouraged customers to subscribe at the conclusion of the 30-day free trial. The customer base for the application steadily grew over the 6.5 years I have been involved with the project.

Most recently, the application was translated and released into four languages: French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.

After overhauling the design and messaging on the website, the business increased exponentially. The number of employees doubled in a 3-year period in order manage the additional business that came from the increased clientele. New software applications were also implemented to better respond to and support the day-to-day processes and systems.

While this was only a part-time position, the impact of the work helped the company grow.

While the content is being designed by new folks, this organization continues to use the site structure I put in place when I worked there.

When I was employed for the New England Newspaper & Press Association, I created the banners that appear at the top of the website. I also maintained their database and created many other marketing pieces to support the organization’s events.
